June 30, School Outreach

We returned to the September 15 school today, this time for a younger group of kids. The older students use the school in the afternoon, and the 4 to 9 year olds use it in the morning, so we had a session with the younger ones today. It was a lot of fun! |

Sammy played a quiet "clown" to get the kids attention... |

The kids were a great audience, very responsive! You can see Robert's head in this picture. He is like the Wizard of Oz behind the scenes, running the sights and sounds unnoticed by the crowds! |
|
|
When the principal of the school asked for it, the hundreds of kids became almost instantly silent! |

One of our Costa Rican church partners led all the students in the school in a prayer. You can see them here with their eyes closed as they mouth the words, giving their hearts to God. |

Ligia, our cook, here visited Lynn's daily Spanish class with a remarkable story. She was an alcoholic for 25 years. Her daughter prayed for her for years. She was sharing the miraculous deliverance she had from alcohol and how she now serves God in her local church. By the way, the kids love her food! She takes pride in her culinary range, and while her dishes have the Costa Rican touch, she makes food from countries all over the world. |
