Costa Rica Mission, 2005

July 10, Sunday, Farmers' Market, Concert in the Park, Church.

Farmers Market. We started our Sunday morning early by going to the downtown farmers' market to minister in dramas.  It is the oldest and largest farmer's market in the city. There was a diverse and wonderful display of fruits and vegetables there.   While there were a lot of people there, not many stopped for our dramas.  They were intent on shopping for their week's vegetables.  Most couples had shopping carts or strollers of some kind to carry their food.

Concert in the Park. Then we went to the large Sabana Central Park for the concert we had prepared for.  The Park is huge with at least 15 athletic contests taking place at once on various fields.  The large stadium held 100,000 for a Benny Hinn engagement in January.  The atmosphere was great in the Park and we drew a large crowd, with quite a few families. Follow this link for pictures from the Park...

After a nice lunch and afternoon worship, we divided into two groups in the evening, one to join our singing family friends in downtown San Jose, and one group to go to the evening service at Ciudad de Dios.

Lynn with Ligia, our cook.  She is a faithful member of the Ciudad de Dios Church.  Among the many other things she does, she arranges the large flower vases that decorate the worship platform of the Church.

Ligia made this arrangement of flowers for Lisa.  Lynn paid $4 for these flowers!
