Costa Rica Mission
We wish to thank the hospitality of our hosting church,
Ciudad de Dios (City of God), without
which our mission would not have been possible! Below is a photo diary of
our work in Costa Rica in the summer of 2005:
- June 20, Arrival!
- June 21, to Manuel Antonio to practice dramas
- June 22 and 23, at hostel Vista Serena, drama practice
- June 24, leaving M. Antonio to return to our San Jose Hostel
- June 25, full day at the Ciudad de Dios

- June 27, Monday, organizing our CLEP classes, our rooms, our hostel, doing laundry, free day

28, two drama outreaches in two different neighborhoods near the church- June 29, our first school outreach
- June 30, the September 15 school again
- July 1, new things in a new month.
- July 2, journey to Cacao, Alajuela
- July 3, Sunday outreach in Sabana Park
- July 4, Monday our "day off"
- July 5, the day our two-week group arrives
- July 6, Hospital and drama outreach
- July 7, Day care, barrio outreach, church
- July 8, 5K race, dramas downtown, drama practice
- July 9, Saturday, concert practice
- July 10, Sunday; farmer's market, Park concert, Church
- July 11, trip to Volcano Arenal.
- July 12, laundry, soccer, drama practice and prayer meeting; also, striking news tonight, July 12, on the local channel 7 news here in San Jose.

- July 14, childrens hospital, more drama practice, drug rehabilitation center
- July 15, Friday. 2nd weekly 5K race, souvenir shopping, drama practice, dinner with Tico families
- July 16-17 Cabecar, in Limon, in the Telemanca Range. Two day trip to an aboriginal Indian tribe...
- July 18, Serenades, the day our two week short term team returns to the States...

- July 24, Sunday, Central Park Fair outreach, final Sunday service at Ciudad de Dios
- July 25, Monday, free day, musical performance by Ciudad de Dios drama group for JFAN
- July 26, High school outreach, CLEP tests, Kamil party
- July 27, Final outreaches, Ciudad de Dios goodbye dinner for JFAN
- July 28, final 5K race, final packing and goodbyes, and flight back to Chicago!
