Jesus For All Nations

Costa Rica Mission, 2005

July 16-17, Cabecar Indians, 4

On the way back we have to get out of the bus and walk over a bridge because the bus needs less weight.  On the way in the bus hit the bridge on one side and was slightly damaged because of the wobble caused by the people weight...

Ron films the scene as spotters watch the bus on the narrow bridge...

A traditional third world rural scene: one little man controls a bull with a rope...

Bus view of dirt road

On the way home we stop at a small typico restaurant in Tuliaba, and order 50 meals (all the same: rice, beans, and beef or chicken, and a drink of tarmarinda juice).  We are told it will take an hour so we take a walk through the town...

And find that there is a bazaar taking place on the town square, and a Christian group singing...so though we tired and looking forward to our "free day" on Monday, what do you think is going through our minds...why, of course, we will get permission to do dramas here....

We are told that after the group finishes 8 songs, we can have use of the sound system.  So we go back to the restaurant, and when it is our turn for the stage Michael called the drama teams who performed two dramas to the absolute delight of all the people in the square...Lisa divided us into two teams, one Tico and one American, who performed the same drama to our music from opposite sides of the pavilion!

Back at restaurant LaFeria

Lisa and Whitney visit outside the restaurant

We find a dead poisonous snake on the way home...
